Novomet uses both selective and no-go profile lock mandrels to provide a setting point within the tubing for flow-control equipment. Designed for landing in profiled seating nipples, lock mandrel assemblies are used as a carrier for tools being deployed in the well, such as downhole chokes, pressure temperature gauges, isolation tools, plugging devices, check valves, and straddle systems. The locking assembly locates and locks the mandrel with the appropriate flow-control device to adjust flow up or down the tubing string while the well is in operation. Selective and no-go lock mandrels can be run and set under pressure on a wireline assembly.
