Novomet uses the least of amount of electricity to produce oil with electrical submersible pumping (ESP) systems compared with all other ESP providers in the world. Our technologies reduce ESP power consumption (and carbon emissions) by 25–30% or more compared to the next-most-efficient ESPs on the market. We have also developed a high-flow geothermal pumping system that brings heated water to the earth’s surface so it can be converted to steam and used to generate geothermal energy. We are proud of what we do and we are proud of our vision, which is to lead the industry in lifting the fluids that power the world. And we also believe it is our duty to do so as responsibly as possible.
To support our commitment to safeguarding the environment, we have implemented an industrial and occupational safety, health, and environmental management system as part of our integrated management system (IMS). Among other things, the IMS helps us identify environmental hazards and manage environmental risks. The system meets or exceeds environmental requirements and guidelines in our operational locations around the world and empowers employees and contractors to act in the best interests of our planet and their local environments.
Our goal is to manage and mitigate environmental risks wherever possible. To do that, we are focused on reducing reportable incidents and on understanding and minimizing the impact of our work on the environment. We meet all environmental requirements defined by our customers, constantly update IMS documentation, provide environmental protection training, and perform internal annual audits.
We believe that taking care of our communities and the planet is everyone’s responsibility and we empower employees to always act in the best interests of the environment. When hired, every Novomet employee agrees to the following guiding environmental principles:
In accordance with ISO 14001: 2015, Novomet monitors the environmental impact of our activities, products, and services. We identify environmental impact for each stage of product and service development and delivery, including factors like production waste, emissions, wastewater, energy consumption, etc.
