We use a CarlZeiss Contura G2 machine to measure and control manufacturing accuracy. It is a vital tool used to ensure quality in our manufacturing process. The Contura G2 machine can provide measurement and control for components up to 31.5 x 39.4 x 19.7 in. (800 x 1000 x 500 mm) on the X, Y, and Z axis respectively.
Measurement accuracy varies with the part being measured. It is calculated by the formula: Δ = 1.8 μm + (L * / 300). For example, with a diameter of 3.9 in. (100 mm), the measurement error is 0.0000823 in. (2.1 μm).
