The advanced gas handler is your first line of defense for ESPs against gas in reservoir fluids. It spins and combines gas and fluid into a homogenized mixture that stabilizes ESP operation in up to 50% free gas environments.

Our gas handlers are no more than 3.63 ft (1.11 m) in length and take the place of a standard ESP intake. As fluid and gas pass through the handler, stages on the shaft force gas into solution to create a homogenized mixture that can be easily pumped through the ESP.
Our gas handlers include a sequence of axial and labyrinth steps mounted to the shaft. The basic sequence follows:
The gas handler increases the uniformity of the fluid entering the pump. This improves ESP operation and efficiency by reducing vibration and pulsing. As the fluid exits the ESP, free gas is released from the homogenized mixture. It expands out of solution and actually provides additional lift for reservoir fluids. In general, the use of a gas handler helps improve ESP operation and efficiency.
Our gas handlers are designed to perform in wells with up to 50% free gas by volume. For higher gas volumes, we also offer a multiphase pump (up to 75% gas) and an advanced gas separator (up to 85% gas).
